Where did you go??

I have had a great 2 weeks here in the states! Thank you to each of you who are praying for me, and praying for Franklin, Mary, & James while I am gone! I have been able to share with many churches and individuals about the mission we are on in Costa Rica!
We are developing a camp and training center, ministering to every persons spiritual and physical needs as the LORD leads us!
We are in the process of raising funds to build our house, if you'd like to hear about it, you can call me at 270-893-2440 to find out the fundraising schedule!

David and Betsy invited me to come speak to their bible study group,
thank you guys for sharing your wonderful group with us!

I have been staying at our friend Bopeys house, here in Owensboro Ky.
She invited her Homemaker friends and had a tea party for me! I enjoyed the fancy treats,
but more than that I enjoyed the friendships shared!
I was able to share our vision for the Camp and Training center and our central theme on mission in Costa Rica,
JESUS CHRIST of NAZARETH!

studying here?

This is the entrance to James' school Santa Cecilia. They have aproximately 200 kids who go to his school from K-6 grade. Not the tiny little shack at the entrance, it is the gaurd house! the school is at the back I will get a better picture,,,,
We are blessed to have great helpers at this school. We have found the Costa Rican people very friendly as a rule and they help wherever they can!
We are thankful for our children and know they are a gift from the LORD! We try our best to teach them the best way, and thank you for kind suggestions you have made in helping raise them! Children are a part of each of us along the way and as a community we must do our very best to help our children and those of others to walk in the right way, following JESUS with each tiny step!
Thank you so much for praying for us here!

It is pouring down raining as I type. I am at the church and for those of you who have been here the river is rushing today! It is very muddy and wild looking when it rains hard like this! It has rained nearly non stop since noon! The little weeds at the camp center are growing bigger each day, another round of machetes and spraying will be on the agenda before long, a constant job with this much rain!
If you'd like to donate to our ministry you can give online at www.globaloutreach.org or you can mail a check to Global Outreach and mark it for Franklin & Evelyn Turner. Thank you and may GOD richly bless you in the Name of JESUS today!

Rabbits and piano

James and Mary each got a rabbit so James and Jacob a friend made a cage for these 2 new pets! Look in the next few days for Marys rabbits picture. His name is Jack and James rabbits name is Eve!

Mary loves music and on her day off from school she was practicing to get ready to play at our church! We are thankful for this great gift GOD has given Mary and pray that she will always use her talents to honor and praise JESUS, HE is the one who gave them to her!

What have you been doing?

James and Miguel got in the basket Franklin put on the backhoe, and he lifted them up to the roof to put a flourescent light up! Now we can see what we are eating, what?!! it was rice and beans all along!!! These lights are all run on generators GOD provided, thank-you to those of you who are a part of this great blessing!

We have been busy lately and I realized I had not taken pictures for more than 2 weeks! So here are few shots this week!
Franklin and Miguel were putting up the last of the tin for the outer walls we now have 4 walls as of this morning!!
They cut the shape for the kitchen roof, it will go on next LORD willing! We are looking forward to having a real kitchen! In the first picture you see what we call our kitchen for the time being!

Today the electric company came out to measure for putting in electricity! BUT<<< it was raining all day! And they couldn't get their equipment wet! So they will be back to measure! At least we got to talk with them and show them how we want it, and now they will soon be able to give us an estimate, LORD willing! Pray that it would be soon!!

a-Camping I will go!

Rachel came to visit at the camp and helped do some painting! Thanks Rach!

Mary and Melody painted a nemo theme on our bathroom wall God has given us each a talent and to HIS glory they are being used right here at Camp Taller del Maestro!

Olger our pastor got a push off on the swing!

Melody is with us for one more day and she was able to be a part of this group that came out to the camp from our church to have our regular meeting of the board of directors of Arbol de Vida Church. They brought a snack to share with coffee and brought their families so we had a wonderful time! Before the meeting they had time to walk around and see the camp for themselves!

We are thankful to be able to minister even tho the camp isn't really functioning yet, we've only got walls on 2 sides of the building we are living in and working out of. We are in need of teams to help finish this phase of the camp center in order to move forward with the building of the cabin, then the construction of the pavilion where many will hear about JESUS for the very first time and give their lives to HIM! Please pray about being involved, praying for our safety and strength, giving to make GODS dream of a camp in Costa Rica a possibility, and coming to serve hands on building a place of rest and renewal!

It is a blessing to be a part of such a wonderful family of GOD. Thank you for praying, giving, and going in order that together we can minister here in Costa Rica in the Name of JESUS!

I passed! Praise the LORD!

Mary and James have completed their 4th year in public school here in Costa Rica! We are very proud of how GOD has been working in their lives! They aren't perfect kids (but close!) but they have jumped some major obstacles to be able to live in the public as they have here in Costa Rica.
We appreciate your prayers for our children and us as we live out GODS call upon our lives to know JESUS and make Him known to others!
JESUS BLESS YOU!

Thank-you

this is the day which the LORD has made let us rejoice and be glad in it! JESUS gave His precious life that we may have abundant life, not just the mundane but he says abundant LIFE!
Thank you to each of you who have faithfully prayed and given to make this ministry GOD has called us to complete! Each one of us in this chain to bring GODS Word to the lost of this world each one is important, and the work cannot go on without your gifts or mine!
Franklin and Jose Luis have been putting together a trailer to carry our trusses and all the supplies out to the farm. We hope to get started in about 2 weeks digging footers and getting ready to go up with the first buildings to raise up the camp center GOD has called us to build! Thank you again for your part in this work GODS economy is doing just fine, HE'S GOT THE WHOLE WORLD IN HIS HANDS! PRAISE JESUS!

A glimpse into the life of a missionary

I believe the best property is this one!
Franklin has been mulling over the map, it is now up on the wall here at the apartment!
He has been in the truck several mornings every few days, looking at properties to find just the right one for the
TALLER DEL MAESTRO GLOBAL OUTREACH
camp center GOD has called us to build.
This is no small task there are not very good guide lines as far as how much your land is worth here.

Mary at a small brook close to Tabarcia contemplating Gods creation!

Today the country of Costa Rica celebrates the addition of the Nicoya penisula to their country.
James was in what they call here Acto Civico, it is like a rememberance ceremony they do each important day in their country at school teaching the children the importance of their history!

The most important part of our history we should never over look is JESUS
He came lived as a human being although HE is the SON of GOD,
died on the cross for our sins, was resurrected on the third day
and now sits at the right hand of GOD interceding for you and me!

And this is me with the medical group, they tried to give me glasses!
I did not really need glasses though I praise the LORD for our health
really it is a gift from GOD to be healthy, there are many that surround us with all types of sicknesses. This is a day in the life of a missionary, nothing special just living to tell;
that JESUS continues to heal today,
Believe on the LORD Jesus Christ and you will be saved!
Thank you for your frequent visits to our blog I pray it is encouraging to you!
May the LORD JESUS CHRIST be with your spirit amen!

to prepare GODS people for works of service

Franklin, Olger, Dalberth, Cristofer, and Ricardo started welding on the roof project at our church Arbol de Vida.
Pray for this project and our safety as we work.
JOHN 9:4 As long as it is day we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming when no-one can work.
