March in favor of biblical Marriage

James among thousands who turned out for the march in favor of GOD DESIGNED marriage.

We walked 2 miles, half of it in the rain but it didn't dampen the spirits of this group!

Mary and James and youth group with Fluxy a
Christian rap artist who came out to support the family!

Our family was a part of taking a stand against gay marriage here in Costa Rica.
We left around 7 am and drove into San Jose the capital city of Costa Rica Saturday Morning.
We parked our cars in a parking lot in the center of town then marched with 19 others from our church Arbol de Vida and about 20,000 people who came together
to say no to gay marriage and yes to GOD designed marriage!
GOD created marriage to between one man and one woman. There were some in politics in Costa Rica who wanted to pass the law saying 2 men or 2 women could be married. Christians from all walks of life came out in protest. This friendly walk was organized by the Christian Alliance, the same oragnization who helped us get our residence visa in May!
We walked 2 miles on the busiest street in San Jose the center of the hub of traffic, starting at 9am and ending around noon! As we were arriving to start the march at a little after 8 it started to sprinkle then a steady rain, but our hearts were in it and GOD gave us strength! As we began our march the Christian radio station played music, and we all sang along under our umbrellas!
As we reached the end of the street, before getting to the intersection, we all stopped and they had a platform set up to recieve us, 20,000 people gathered around and right there in the street we lifted our voices praising GOD without shame or fear of persecution!
PRAISE BE TO GOD!
As the Christian Alliance gave testimony of 40 days of fasting a prayer that had gone into the planning of this event, music artists from as far away as Puerto Rico, sang praise songs lifting up the name of JESUS!
As they ended our time together they asked us to join them in an hour of prayer! So different pastors and teachers took part praying for all the different facets of the family, asking for GODs great hand of prtection over the FAMILY OF COSTA RICA!
Thank you for your part in our minsitry here in Costa Rica you have held us up in prayer and have given so that the name of JESUS will be preached. We want to thank you and tell you that to our very best ability we tell the GOOD NEWS, JESUS is alive, and is coming back very soon! halleluyah!!!!
If you have not given and would like to be a part of missions in Costa Rica you can give to our ministry by sending your check made out to Franklin Turner, Costa Rica to

A glimpse into the life of a missionary

I believe the best property is this one!
Franklin has been mulling over the map, it is now up on the wall here at the apartment!
He has been in the truck several mornings every few days, looking at properties to find just the right one for the
TALLER DEL MAESTRO GLOBAL OUTREACH
camp center GOD has called us to build.
This is no small task there are not very good guide lines as far as how much your land is worth here.

Mary at a small brook close to Tabarcia contemplating Gods creation!

Today the country of Costa Rica celebrates the addition of the Nicoya penisula to their country.
James was in what they call here Acto Civico, it is like a rememberance ceremony they do each important day in their country at school teaching the children the importance of their history!

The most important part of our history we should never over look is JESUS
He came lived as a human being although HE is the SON of GOD,
died on the cross for our sins, was resurrected on the third day
and now sits at the right hand of GOD interceding for you and me!

And this is me with the medical group, they tried to give me glasses!
I did not really need glasses though I praise the LORD for our health
really it is a gift from GOD to be healthy, there are many that surround us with all types of sicknesses. This is a day in the life of a missionary, nothing special just living to tell;
that JESUS continues to heal today,
Believe on the LORD Jesus Christ and you will be saved!
Thank you for your frequent visits to our blog I pray it is encouraging to you!
May the LORD JESUS CHRIST be with your spirit amen!

Feet?

This is Luana Ester´s foot!
She was born on Monday here in Costa Rica.
She is the baby of some very good friends of ours Roxana and Kenay,
remember I blogged about helping them out in the baby shower!
SHE'S HERE!
I can just imagine the excitement Mary and Joseph must
have felt when JESUS was born,
HE was the SON of GOD but came to us as a little helpless baby.
I praise GOD for HIS plan to save us by sending JESUS here to earth.
If you do not know JESUS yet, ask GOD to show HIM to you, pray,
LORD JESUS I believe you are real. I beleive you are the SON of GOD.
I know I have sinned, forgive me please. Help me to live for you.
Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins and the sins of the world.
Amen.

Pastors shoes

Could you walk in his shoes?
This is a good question for each of us as we question decisions made by our pastor his wife or those in charge of our church or institution where we work or where we worship GOD!
It is easy to say I would have done it this way or it should be done another way.
But as the old saying goes, don't judge the person unless you have walked 2 miles in his shoes!
We are thankful for our Pastor Olger and Guiselle his wife. Many times we would do things differently but GOD called
them to lead and we must follow their leadership and submit to
JESUS CHRIST Author and finisher of our faith!

This is Caleb.
For those of you who haven't met this young man he is a walking testimony of GODS grace!
He and 2 brothers and his mom were in a bad accident 2 years ago. One brother was killed and
Caleb was on the brink of death several times as he fought to live!
The doctors told him he would never walk again, and his mom was told even if he survived the best they could hope for was that he would be bedfast for the rest of his life, the best he would do is possibly be in a wheelchair! Well, he is living proof that GODS grace is sufficient!
We all prayed at the church as Caleb laid in a coma in the hospital,
and to tell you the truth I had very little faith that he would live!
But GOD had a wonderful plan for Caleb and the many people around him!
He now is able to walk with a cane, yestersay he walked to the church, it is about 1/2 city block from his house. Then I gave him a ride back up to his house in the truck!
PRAISE JESUS, He is our healer!
Caleb has accepted JESUS as his Saviour and was baptized a few weeks ago. His testimony has encouraged many and several people have confessed JESUS as their Saviour since seeing the miracle of Calebs recovery!
Caleb will be going to INA the National Institute of Learning, to study English and Computers, starting in a few weeks!
