Mary

Mary has been a great blessing to us as she has grown up!
She is in her last year of high school here in Costa Rica and many things in Marys life are set to make a huge change! She is changing and wanting to do a lot of different things she never tried before! Mary has played piano for our church now for 4 years, and sings lead now. GOD really uses Mary in music and she loves painting. We are praying for GODS direction in Marys life and that she will let GOD mold her into the young lady HE would have her be! She will be looking into colleges soon please pray for Mary as she chooses her path carefully knowing GOD has a great plan for using her to honor JESUS CHRIST!

Costa Rica, a closer look!

Today has started out to be a beautiful sunny warm day! I am doing some laundry and James is in History class. He was able to start homeschool this week! Thank you for your prayers and support in favor of our children. GOD has blessed us so much and we know that GOD is using each of you to bless us and the people around us. I never wanted to homeschool as I always thought our kids should be a part of the culture and be able to have friends. As James moved through school he did ok as long as he was in elementary school where the teacher kept close tabs on him!
But as he started in high school it was obvious he wasn't going to be able to continue public education.
So as we prayed and asked GOD to show us how James could get an education. GOD used different people and situations in order for us to come to the homeschool conclusion. We wrote a note to you to ask for help in the purchase of the books. We went to an Abeka homeschool showing while in the states in July. You gave to make James homeschool possible! Thank you! we were able to order the books in time for a friend to bring them down for us!

Now the work is up to James! He is doing well better than we expected. All his work so far from first grade to sixth was all in spanish in the public shcool system here in Costa Rica! So we were unsure even of what grade to start him in. We purchased 7th grade books. As James and I started looking at his videos and got started in the books there are very few words he doesn't know and reads well! He had a little trouble keeping up with Math they move really fast! So we are working on his math facts to help him be faster!

He is learning to type in keyboarding, and one of the requirements for Abeka program is bible class! He will memorize more than 25 bible verses in the course of the year and learn the books of the bible ( and so will mom)! Praise GOD! Not only will James get his academics, but will learn the WORD OF GOD along with it! Fully equipped for the call GOD will put on James' life, haleluya!
Thank you again for your prayers and support!
GOD bless you as you serve JESUS wherever you live!

So please pray for James as He learns!

Clay at work!

Clay got in on the action yesterday getting ready to set posts for the new electric line to the spring for the water pump. It will be wired directly now so we don't have to remember to pump water and shouldn't run out LORD willing! We praise the LORD for the water here on the property, without water it is impossible to live! HOW GREAT A GOD WE SERVE! HE knew before we ever came out here to look at this land that we would make good use of the water HE has provided!

Clay and Franklin visiting before church started Saturday night! We enjoy being a part of our church and when people come visit we love to introduce you to our family in JESUS CHRIST!

Clay's mission

Clay has come to live with our family here in Costa Rica for 2 weeks. One of the things Clay has voiced that he wants to do is to seek GOD and do wha GOD would have him to do! To hear 21 year olds say this and see them live it is a joy to our hearts! GOD will do great things in this generation who seek HIS face daily and work to do the work of the KINGDOM OF GOD!

They are clearing trees to get ready for an electric line to the spring!

These logs gotta go!

I got this James!

Police visit the free health clinic

Free health clinics for 500+ people What a great GOD we serve!
Thank you First Baptist church Winona MS.

We set up for clinic on Wednesday in Loc Chiles at the Assemblies of GOD church in the center of town. We were all a little jittery as the ministry of health had recently closed down a health clinic the red cross was doing. We had gotten through the biggest part of the day smoothly and were about an hour away from closing when 2 policemen showed up!
We were relieved that they had come to see the Doctor! Praise the LORD! The Dr. was able to see them, but best of all we shared JESUS with them and gave them each some vitamins and a bible and some goodies! We are thankful, GOD has been so good each time we have traveled, HE has kept us safe and provided for every little need!

Thank you for giving to make this mission possible, and for praying for us as we minister here in Costa Rica!

Pastor Chris Aldridge posing with the police, we told him that they had come to carry him away! We got a smile from the policemen then!

James' little friend at the place we stayed. He folowed James around everywhere, James was his hero!

The babies wanted to swing, well they didn't say an audible word, but actions speak louder than words! So the mommies took them for a swing, what fun! Thank you Applewood Christian School for giving to the LORD!

We had a fun visit with mission friens on Sunday! They rode the bus out to the cruze, we picked them up for church. We worshiped the LORD together remebering JESUS' death and ressurection by taking the LORDS Supper together. Then we had lunch at Piza express and headed to the camp! GOD just stretched out the time, we had such a great visit! We even had time for coffee, cake and ice cream! They walked around the camp center a little we shared our vision each call a little different, but JESUS JOY in our hearts! TO KNOW JESUS and to MAKE HIM KNOWN!

Friends GOD sends to help!

This group came from First Baptist church Winona MS. They served around 500 people in 4 days of medical clinics! This was such a blessing to the people of Costa Rica! Countless mothers came to me as they went through th clinic and said, I knew my child needed medical care, but we don't have the money for the medicines, please tell them GOD sent them! Praise the LORD for you are the answer to a mothers prayers!

As we'd set up each day Lucys table was the first in line getting blood pressures and analizing the need of each patient! GOD has given each of us a talent, let's use our talents to the best of our ability to serve others in the Name of JESUS, like Lucy did this week! James was her translator getting the needs translated so the people could get the medicines they eeded to feel better, but much more than that so they could recieve JESUS as their Saviour! Thank you James for giving to the LORD!

Can you hear now? One of our translators was Darlin Perez.
Pray for Darlin as she serves JESUS with the ability to translate from Spanish to English and vice versus and uses this wonderful gift to speak JESUS intot he lives of so many!
