A few old pictures and some new ones!

JESUS BLESS YOU! Franklin Evelyn Mary & James

studying here?

This is the entrance to James' school Santa Cecilia. They have aproximately 200 kids who go to his school from K-6 grade. Not the tiny little shack at the entrance, it is the gaurd house! the school is at the back I will get a better picture,,,,
We are blessed to have great helpers at this school. We have found the Costa Rican people very friendly as a rule and they help wherever they can!
We are thankful for our children and know they are a gift from the LORD! We try our best to teach them the best way, and thank you for kind suggestions you have made in helping raise them! Children are a part of each of us along the way and as a community we must do our very best to help our children and those of others to walk in the right way, following JESUS with each tiny step!
Thank you so much for praying for us here!

It is pouring down raining as I type. I am at the church and for those of you who have been here the river is rushing today! It is very muddy and wild looking when it rains hard like this! It has rained nearly non stop since noon! The little weeds at the camp center are growing bigger each day, another round of machetes and spraying will be on the agenda before long, a constant job with this much rain!
If you'd like to donate to our ministry you can give online at www.globaloutreach.org or you can mail a check to Global Outreach and mark it for Franklin & Evelyn Turner. Thank you and may GOD richly bless you in the Name of JESUS today!

Working on the WORKSHOP OF THE MASTER!

This is a picture of Mary helping out one year ago! Mary is really growing up! She plays piano for our church services each Wednesday Saturday and Sunday services. Sometimes she plays for 2 hours non stop depending on the type of service we are having! PRAY for our children that GOD would protect them from all harm and use them for HIS glory!

Do dogs eat fruit?

Well we were suprised when we were out gathering fruit, our little dog Bonita picked up one of the mangos and started to chew on it and ate it! She was very proud of her find!

This is the fruit we found here on the camp property! It feels good to be able to eat the "fruits of our labors!" although many of these trees were actually planted some 15 years ago! We have cleared the land and given these trees breathing room and they are giving their fruit in return!

Progress!

Ok so sometimes it is hard to see the progress, on a daily march, sometimes we don't see much change! BUT,,,,,,,, as I looked back on the pictures of a year ago today, WOW praise the LORD is all I can say! We now have running water in our home, we now have lights, walls, all this was a faint hope a year ago! OUR LORD os great! and great is HIS faithfullness! Thank you for giving and for praying, and for coming to help, a step at a time we cross this life changing bridge, building this camp center, so that MANY will come to JESUS!

My brothers and my Dad came to help on the roof for the first building a year ago this week! Thanks guys! Whata blessing to have them here with us! If you'd like to come please call our home office at 662-842-4615 and talk to Carla. Get ready for a life changing experience!

GOD calls, equips, then sends

Isaac and Hiedi came to vist. They plan to marry in December and what a great mission! GOD has called the 2 of them to India, to minister to children at risk. GOD has been preparing them, and now has brought them together to finish getting them ready for the work JESUS has for them! Praise HIM!

It is exciting to see new people answering the call each day to go where GOD would send them, telling others of the love of JESUS! Pray for Isaac and Hiedi as they begin this wonderful journey together on mission! Thank you for your prayers for our mission, the WORKSHOP of the MASTER-JESUS!

Upala 2010

Many of you remember this little community 3 hours north of here, in Upala we have worked there with them several years now through our pastor here at Arbol de Vida church. We went this year to help out, we laid tile in 2 Sunday Schhol rooms and the altar is getting a new look the men are finishing it today pouring concrete to finish it out then tile on top should look great!

The kids loved what Franklin did the first day we got there! We had put up a swing set in 2008 when we went to this church. Well this year it was broken down so we fixed up the 3 swings for the kids and Juan welded the metal part! Prasie the LORD, these children can come to their church and play and listen to the WORD OF GOD!!!

Juan is the one in the bandana, he welded up the frame in this car too! In this little community it is hard to find someone who welds and does handy work like that so it is huge blessing to us to help out and to them because otherwise this car would have been only good for junk iron as would the swingset too! Praise the LORD for the gift to help! Thank you for giving on order for us to give!
