Team Applewood!

We are having a wonderful week with our team from Applewood Christian school in Sedalia MO. They have been laying tile and telling the gospel story to the kids and parents in our bible week, called
Faith of my Family!

Some hard working youth! They have jumped right in and helped mix mud, grout the lines and keep laying tile, what a blessing! GOD is so good! Thank you Applewood!

What do you do???

This was one year ago! How quickly time passes! These were some very special visitors we had here at our church Arbol DE Vida & they also came to our house, the camp center Taller Del Maestro! GOD has brought the people HE has called out to encourage us and help out just the right moment in time! We were able to share a new pineapple we grew by planting a  pineapple top!

One year ago I was preparing my home to move in! What a blessing, we are thankful for our home.

Franklin set the doors for our front porch one year ago! A lot happens in one year, how has your life changed? Has GOD performed a miracle you asked HIM for? Has HE provided miraculously for something you had dreamed of doing or having?
I want to give testimony that GOD has been good to me not because I have been good or because i have done something, prayed more, fasted a long time. It is not always what we do, it is GOD loving us like the great and wonderful Father HE is, and cheering us on our way by blessing us for no reason, just because HE loves us!
Thank you for being faithful in praying for us and givng to complete GODS work here at this camp center here in Costa Rica! Know that when you pray and give, it is GOD providing, from your heart through your hands to the world!

Chickens & paint?

James has liked having chickens! We were given 5 chickens by a friend from our church. We got them when they were about 1 month old, now they have grown up! we put them in a pen close to the dog pen, maybe be a little safer!

Mary did a painting for a show the youth put on Sunday Night! They had talent night, the youth from our church did a "Good over Evil" play. So Mary made some fire to create a background for it! Our church is a big part of what we do each week! We help out in several different areas, Franklin teaches a class for new Christians before they are baptised. I am helping out in the youth class now and wherever needed! What a blessing to be a blessing! Thank you for praying for us as we minister in the Name of JESUS!

GODS beautiful creation....

GOD creation just amazes us! The fight the birds have to go through to raise a batch of young! The birds are  prone to rob each others nests, and chase the mother bird away, taking the pieces of the nest to build another one of their own, the animal kingdom is a rude awakening!
Hopefully as children of the MOST HIGH GOD we will not be like the animals, but know our calling is much higher! GOD created us in HIS image! We have must have a love for one another, and not just for those who love us,
but more so those who don't; they are also created in GODS image!

This picture is off our front porch here at the camp house in Costa Rica.

GOD is amazing as we watch HIS creation right before our eyes! We have always seen these amazing bird nests in restaraunts and tourist places. So when the Orapendola built it's nest in our front yard we were just enthralled! And they have not only built one, there are 9 all together! These ladies work rain or shine building an intricate nest of thin slivers of banana leaves and other palms, then pack broken dry leaves in the inside to make a soft spot for the eggs! They work for over a week non stop building this amazing nest!

They are a large black bird with a bright yellow splash on their tail feathers!
The male bird has a trumpet voice, he sits on a branch and as he trumpets he flips over!

This morning as we were watching we noticed one palm leaf had fallen to the ground and had 2 nests still attached to it. Below you see up close what the nest looks like, WOW they weigh maybe a pound each, but the weaving is amazing! They weave all along the top of the palm leaf, these palms are completely covered in long thorns, spines more like it! These nests still had the eggs in them, James wondered if we could put them back out there for the moms to finish their job of raising these babies! When we decided that wasn't an option James put one of the eggs in a ziploc and took it for his class to look at & enjoy! The eggs are just a little larger than a robin egg cream colored with dark spashes and spots on it!
