A day in the life of James!

We were able to ship these tents down from Global Outreach Home office, thank you to each of you involoved in giving us this wonderful blessing, it will provide a wonderful storage place and a place for us to live meanwhile we build our house!

James shared coffee with our pastor and we visited with Neli, he is a neighbor. I asked him if he had JESUS in his heart and he said no but he would think about praying to recieve HIM! GOD brought Neli into our lives and we have enjoyed his friendship but more than that we want to spend eternity with him and JESUS in Heaven.

Guiselle our pastors wife came to the farm for the first time yesterday! She brought her little dog, Baloo and James shared his lunch, sound familiar a boy who shared his lunch, only this fed a very small dog, not 5000 people!

Rocks and baby birds and such!

We were making an interior road by the new building site yesterday and had to pull a big rock out of the way! It was buried so we worked about an hour getting it out of the way!

Baby birds we saw the poor things nearly got singed with the fire we were building to burn brush!

What is your day like?

Have you ever sat for a moment and tried to remember what you did today?
We get this question a lot, what is it like to be a missionary? Our day begins with the alarm going off at 5:15, putting coffee on getting the lunches ready, then Franklin is off to the farm at 6:30. He loads up the chainsaw and wood or barrel for water, fuel jugs, tools, while I get the lunches ready. Their lunches consist of rice and beans and today a fried egg! Sometimes they take chicken or ham, but always rice and beans! We pack their lunches in little butter tubs, hot and when they eat it is still warm! They break to have coffee and eat around 10 am each day!

Or what is it like to be a mission kid? Our children have balanced their role in missions very well! They get to sleep just a little longer than Franklin and then they relax around for awhile then around 10-11 we take off to the farm to help in whatever we can!
James and Mary have had a great time putting up a swing on the property camp center and raking leaves and showing their friends the swimming hole!
James wanted to cook his own breakfast one morning so I took his picture! He was proud of his eggs and toast! Mary laughed and joked with the guys they were surprised how well she worked and the fact that she was willing to go out there and grab a rake and gathering up all those sticks and leaves getting them ready to burn, to get this spot ready to build on!

Keep praying for this mission as we develop the camp center, Taller del Maestro Global Outreach.

Kids in Action!

This was how our day went! We all went out to the farm to work and got a lot done! Mary helped rake up old dead limbs and leaves to burn. James played with his friend Luis Miguel and they cut leaves and brush with their machetes! We can see a difference each day as we work, GOD is good!

Franklin and the men have now got a small guard house built for someone to stay on the property and hope to be able to stay there some in the coming weeks as we work. Thank you for your prayers and supprt without you we wouldn't be able to do what GOD has called us to do, Go into all the world and preach the gospel!

PRAY for Taller del Maestro that it would be a place of rest a comfort for many people to come KNOW JESUS!

January 1, 2009

This is how we spent our first day of 2009! We had a New Years celebration here at the church Dec 31, from 8pm till about 1 in the morning getting together to praise our LORD JESUS and pray together!
Then the next morning about 11 we got toether again to baptise the new believers! There were 4 people who were baptised PRAY for these that GOD would be real in their lives and they would live the rest of their lives for JESUS!
At 3pm we got back here to the church and Olger our pastors sisters and families had come to spend new years with him, so we all got in 2 vehicles and drove out to the farm. These people had been praying with us and it was a great reward for them to be able to share in our joy as we showed them the new camp property! GOD IS SO GOOD! Thank you for your prayers we can't wait to show you make plans to come to see!
