The LORDS day

We call Sunday the LORDS day.

So if it is HIS day doesn't HE get to call the shots? Shouldn't we do what the LORD wants, since it is HIS day?

It has been a trying week and we each have had our own struggles whether personal or as a family, or as a Church body. The Bible reminds us each time we open it that GOD wants to be a part of what we are doing the center of our very being. And when HE is everything goes better!

We had a little excitement around here Friday! Franklin & James had gone to town Thursday morning and got back late, looking for wood and shopping for the very best prices for our shop we are about to start construction on!
When they got home Franklin was feeling bad, said he'd had a headache most of the day and now it had traveled down his neck and chest. He had been stressed out looking for wood and driving in San Jose which can be a nightmare! So I just thought it was that. I massaged his feet, lots of times that relieves his headaches, and it seemed to help. His chest was still bothering him but we went to bed and he seemed to rest well.

Mary had class Friday morning so he took her at 6:30am. When he got back he told me he was still not feeling so good so we decided to go to the new hospital, to see what was wrong. He walked down to the building to make sure everything was locked up to leave. A he walked back up I was feeding the chickens and getting ready to leave. He was so out of breath he could hardly walk back to the house! This scared me a lot, and we quickly got ready to leave. He wanted me to drive so I knew he wasn't feeling well!

As we got the hospital he was feeling really weak and I could tell it was serious! So we get inside, tell the lady at the information desk he has chest pains, and they immediately worked us in and in a few minutes he was being seen by the Dr & nurse on staff, Rosio. I couldn't go to the back with him so I waited in the waiting room.
They gave him a nitroglycerin tablet, and were doing some checking, in the meantime the nurse left him for a second to get his papers, and he nearly passed out! There was a girl cleaning he called her and she quickly called nurse Rosio! They got him on an iv gave him some medication, and got him on a bed, and then called me.
It is a great place to be when you are feeling bad but a place we hadn't ever been there so we had to find our way around!

They did an EKG and blood tests etc. everything came out clear, for which we are very thankful! He had used a chainsaw above his head to cut a tree a few days before and seems the muscles in his chest were very irritated, hence giving him the symptoms of a heart attack! Thankfully his heart is ok and now his pain is gone!

We are praising the LORD! GOD has our lives in HIS great HANDS! Franklin said as he was passing out he thought well, guess this is it! BUT GOD isn't finished with him yet, and we are thankful it wasn't more serious! Thank you for your prayers! We know that GOD has heard you and HE works on our behalf when you ask GOD to protect us and provide for us!
Thank you for your gifts to our ministry! May the LORD richly bless you and keep you in HIS care as you serve JESUS daily!

Good News!

JESUS IS COMING BACK!
Thank you for your prayers!
Thank you for your support!
I know I say this a lot but want you to know that on a daily basis we are in danger, not as much from our fellow people here in Costa Rica. They are wonderful loving people who most of the time will walk away from a fight rather than confront someone!
Our greatest enemy, is your greatest enemy too satan hasn't given up running after us like a roaring lion, ready to eat us, tear us to pieces! GOD ha used you to stand between us and our worst enemy, keeping us safe from harm and providing for our every need as we serve JESUS on a daily basis here in Costa Rica!
  • Wanted to share this wonderful news with you, we have permanent residence since yesterday! Immigration granted us residence, it took 6 months but very worth the wait! Praise the LORD! We will go next Tuesday to get our pictures taken & new cards made.
James is working on schoolwork as we speak, he likes his teachers and is happy doing his schoolwork here at home! This week was his 14th birthday and we celebrated a little yesterday, he got to go to town and get some special stuff, pizza was one! and we plan to go see a movie Saturday.
Mary has been doing tests this past week now is back to regular classes! The week she has tests she gets to do her test and come home! Nice to have her around! She sprayed and cleaned her room yesterday said she dreamed she was chased by spiders as she had seen one on the wall the night before! She has been a trooper and isn't scared of even snakes or any bugs, guess growing up with all these creepy crawlers around her she is used to them, but still get to you at night!
Hope you have a wonderful day! Blessings in JESUS, Evelyn

New road!

For those of you who have been here and plan t come back this is awesome news! Franklin started 2 days ago making the road entrance in the property beside us. The lady who sold us this property for the camp center Rosa, gave us enough property up from ours to make a different entrance.
Now when we come in we will come in to the back of the camp property, and the road isn't steep! We will still use the public road we have aways used but in dry season for now we can use this entrance and even a small car can drive all the way to the property! It will take a lot mor work and loads and loads of rock, we eventually would like to see it in concrete. For now this is very exciting as the public road comig in to the camp property has a VERY STEEP hill to come down just as you arrive at the camp center!

This begins at the new lot for the shop!
This is where we will be working the next few moths as funds come in,
to build the pole building we will use for a shop.

This just across the line into the other property.
It has been raining each day, so Franklin leaves the backhoe up where he is working to get started earlier. Last night it rained probably 3 inches, but the sun is out in force this morning, and he will begin working around 8:30! First thing on his list is to take Mary to class, she goes in for a test at 7am!
