Costa Rica, a closer look!

Today has started out to be a beautiful sunny warm day! I am doing some laundry and James is in History class. He was able to start homeschool this week! Thank you for your prayers and support in favor of our children. GOD has blessed us so much and we know that GOD is using each of you to bless us and the people around us. I never wanted to homeschool as I always thought our kids should be a part of the culture and be able to have friends. As James moved through school he did ok as long as he was in elementary school where the teacher kept close tabs on him!
But as he started in high school it was obvious he wasn't going to be able to continue public education.
So as we prayed and asked GOD to show us how James could get an education. GOD used different people and situations in order for us to come to the homeschool conclusion. We wrote a note to you to ask for help in the purchase of the books. We went to an Abeka homeschool showing while in the states in July. You gave to make James homeschool possible! Thank you! we were able to order the books in time for a friend to bring them down for us!

Now the work is up to James! He is doing well better than we expected. All his work so far from first grade to sixth was all in spanish in the public shcool system here in Costa Rica! So we were unsure even of what grade to start him in. We purchased 7th grade books. As James and I started looking at his videos and got started in the books there are very few words he doesn't know and reads well! He had a little trouble keeping up with Math they move really fast! So we are working on his math facts to help him be faster!

He is learning to type in keyboarding, and one of the requirements for Abeka program is bible class! He will memorize more than 25 bible verses in the course of the year and learn the books of the bible ( and so will mom)! Praise GOD! Not only will James get his academics, but will learn the WORD OF GOD along with it! Fully equipped for the call GOD will put on James' life, haleluya!
Thank you again for your prayers and support!
GOD bless you as you serve JESUS wherever you live!

So please pray for James as He learns!

JESUS BLESS YOU! Franklin Evelyn Mary & James
