Wedding bells February 29, 1992!

 

Our Family as we married in 1992! Joel was 7 and Sara was 5! They are now adults, studying and working! Pray that our family would always follow JESUS and do HIS will!

PRAY FOR YOUR CHILDREN AND OURS!

 

Luke 23:27-31

A large number of people followed him, including women who mourned and wailed for him. Jesus turned and said to them, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children. For the time will come when you will say, ‘Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’ Then “‘they will say to the mountains, “Fall on us!”
and to the hills, “Cover us!”’ For if men do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?”

Jesus said there would be a day in the future when raising children would be a very difficult task. We are certainly raising children in an ungodly world. Another school shooting happened just today near Cleveland, Ohio, killing one and injuring four other young people. The pressures and problems children are facing today are definitely greater than those of generations of the past.

Your challenge for today is to take a moment to heed Jesus’ call to prayer for our children. Pray for your children and your grandchildren and the children in our communities – that God will protect them from the evil that surrounds them. Pray that you will be a godly parent or grandparent or adult role model. Pray that by your actions you will not allow one of these little ones to stumble and fall spiritually. Pray that you will not be a hindrance or stumbling block to some child coming to Jesus. Pray for our schools, the administration, and the teachers and other staff members as they stand alongside our children each day. Pray that they will be godly, moral examples for our young people to admire and respect. Send them a word of encouragement or praise. They often only hear from us when we have a criticism or complaint. Tell your child how you cope in this troubling world by taking your problems to Jesus and pray with them for strength and courage in these difficult times.

We were reminded once again today that no matter what our age, no matter where we may be – today could be our last day, so live it for Jesus!

What happens to bugs...

We hear these noisy cicadas all day from daylight to dark! So last night we were happy to see one less, well it was a lil gruesome, a praying mantis eating a cicada, yes the praying mantis here does more than pray! hehehe!
Thank you for praying for our safety and for GOD to bless our ministry, GOD has been soooo good to us, thank you for you support and prayer, you are an important link between us and GOD, please don't break that link!

Charlie and Darlene came to help us for one month, and Omar came out to help us this week! We are blessed to have many people to pray for this ministry and give to make it possible, and come to help! Thank you to each of you involved in what GOD is doing here in Costa Rica!

Ready to go camping?

 

A man approached Franklin a few weeks ago about a tree that had fallen into the creek. He said if Franklin didn't want it he'd like to buy it from us. It was a nice sized tree and made 8 -12ft posts, plus some more smaller posts! Hard as a rock and heavy as lead! So today we went down and the men cut it up for us and carried it to the road. It had fallen in the creek about 10 yards into the Camp jungle! We are thankful for the wood it was worth more to keep it than to sell!

What a blessing, GOD is good in all ways HE has blessed us!

Family mission!

James likes to help so he got involved in cooking a meal for a retreat at our church! We had 25 youth come to the retreat, making a difference, giving their lives to JESUS to mold them in HIS image!

 

Teams who have been here with us remember this fun swing at the camp center, Mary loves to swing on it as do most of the youth who come to visit, even adults like the swing! Tomorrow Mary and James start back to class, pray for their safety as they start a new class year, James in 7th grade and Mary in 11th. They are both in the same school one year! Mary will graduate this year LORD willing and James is just starting high school!

 

Franklin and Miguel found this great big bunch of bananas on the camp property! Thank you for your prayers and support of the mission work we are doing here in Costa Rica! Come be a part of the work, building a camp center to teach GODS Word and bless the lives of the Costa Rican people in the NAME OF JESUS! It will not only touch the peoples lives as you minister, but GOD will bless you and work in your life too!

Gramas visit

Claudette, Franklins Mom is here with Emmette for 10 days to visit with us. The kids have enjoyed gramas visit, and hot cards games with Emmette! Praise the LORD for family, HE created each thing we need and what a wonderful thing family is!
Franklin has enjoyed walking around the camp center sharing the vision GOD has given us of building Taller del Maestro (Workshop of the MASTER) a place to retreat and draw close to the MASTER, JESUS CHRIST!
