April 2011 Thank you LORD for my home!

This was my house one year ago! WOW! What a change and that was fast! GOD is so good thank you to each of you guys who helped personally and the many who gave for us to have a home!
 May the LORD bless you richly and may HIS favor rest on you forever!

These floors were a lot of work, but beautiful! thank you JESUS for the gift of a home!

Worship the LORD in all you do!

Mary & Paula sang a special together at our Saturday night church service. 

We were able to visit with our pastor at church, and of course a cup of coffee was on the order of the day! 

First but not by any means the last!
We are thankful to be able to offer a place for people of all different walks of life to come be a part of ministering in the Name of JESUS. Even a small cup of water when offered in the NAME OF JESUS will bring it's great rewards! Amen!

JESUS our high priest!

Everyone has to die once, then face the consequences. Christ's death was also a one-time event, but it was a sacrifice that took care of sins forever. And so, when he next appears, the outcome for those eager to greet him is, precisely, salvation. Hebrews 9:27-28
This is from the Message Bible, I have been finding some real treasures as I look up scripture in the message Bible and read the same scripture sometimes eye opening news! Seems like we should know these things but sometimes just reading the scripture in a different translation is an eye opening experience! I am taking a bible course and also teaching Sunday school for youth. This has required me to search the Bible for more truths and study the Bible more. The bible class has been great as it is theology, teaching us how serious these writers & translators took what they were doing. It was no small thing to write the Bible. First of all it is the inspired HOLY WORD OF GOD!
Second, the fear then was much more real than our fear of GOD. We could use a little Holy fear in our lives, replacing the mundane, everyday, our little petty needs or wants, replaced by the real fear of GOD, who GOD is and that HE really does care that much about us. HE gave JESUS HIS only SON to send HIM to earth as a helpless baby, and then to die the cruelest death ever, death on the cross! BUT,,, that death gives us life, as our scripture indicates, and JESUS will be back to take us up to Heaven with HIM! Lets be ready!

Paulas visit...

James and Paula Anthony have been visiting us and working alongside us here in Costa Rica! What a blessing to have other missionaries come alongside to help and encourage! They helped finish out the room we lived in for 2 years while we built our house. This room started out as storage room, and now is part of the dorms, ready for teams who come to serve our LORD JESUS CHRIST here at Taller del Maestro! Thank you for your support and prayers for the ministry here and for our life! GOD hears you when you pray, and works in our lives helping us daily to be better servants of HIS high calling on our lives, carrying the most important message ever heard, JESUS loves you, JESUS died for you, JESUS is your firend forever, JESUS never fails, JESUS is the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE, no one comes to the Father except through JESUS! Amen!

Visitors!

James and Paula are here with us for a week! They were in Belize when we served there and now they are missionaries in Honduras. We are thankful for their friendship and looking forward to great things GOD will do in all of us as we minister together and encourage each other!

Today we plan to finish the tile in the dowstairs part of the team dorms and paint that room!

Paula was able to connect to her family and friends with a usb internet connection, isn't GOD good! Praise the LORD for HIS grace and love for us, HE provides every little detail!

Mission teamwork!

 

As you can see this group went right to work! We went to Upala northern Costa Rica for this week. We left Thursday morning and got up there around 4pm. We had church service that night prayer service, then Friday we had a small teacher training for Sunday School teachers. The youth made handmade invitations to give out to the people in the community for a special movie night Saturday night. This is a small church they have about 20 people on a regular Sunday, and last night for the movie we had at least 50 people! Pray that the seeds we planted will grow and bear much fruit for GODS KINGDOM! Amen!

The view from here...

 

This is the view from our front porch; beautiful sunrise!
Today is beautiful bright and sunny, the weather right now is warm and arond 90 degrees! It is stuffy in the middle of the day and by evening lots of times you need a sweatshirt!
This is HOLY WEEK and here in Central America the catholic church celebrates big! They have parades and do a lot of re-enactments of the week before our LORD was cruzified. Many of the Christians are against all the big celebrations the catholic church does. BUT, this is a great way to tell our children the greatest story of redemption and how JESUS really did die for our sins, HE really did walk to Gethsemane, they really did drive those huge nails in HIS precious hands!
The world is watching to see how we react, and what we will do, we must give testimony every step of our lives, so when they see how we love each other and even love our enemies, they will ask how, and that opens the door for us to tell them JESUS loves them too and share the great gospel story of salvation with them!
Thank you for praying with us and for us! GOD has done miracles right in front of our eyes and we know it is because of you ferverent prayers! Thank you for your support, we are amazed how GOD speaks and calls each of us to do our part, it is not only us on the frontlines here on the mission field, but you who have given and prayed who are bringing the message of love and forgiveness to hurting and lost souls of Costa Rica and around the world! Praise the LORD! Thank you!
