Costa Rica Drivers Liscence!

These are some sights we saw as we traveled to several offices to renew our Costa Rica drivers Liscence! Thankful for our pastor, Olger. He taught us how to get around in San  Jose the capital city of Costa Rica! We were able to update our information for our residence here as well the Liscence branch needed the information updated before they would renew our Liscence! Thankfully we found this information online before driving over to the Liscence place! It is on opposite dudes of town, so it took more time to drive from one place to the other than the actual renewal process!
Now our Liscence is good until 2021, I can't believe it when I read these numbers sometimes 2021, who would've thought our world would still be turning at this age! God is good and desires all men to come to Him before He ends this age! Thankful He waited for me!

This is a Catholic Church we passed as we traveled through San Jose! These churches are architectural miracles, beautiful structures with stained glass windows and high steeples! Pray that the Costa Rican people will turn to repent and ask The Lord for salvation from their dins before time runs out! Thank you for your prayers for our ministry! We ate in the process of purchasing wood for cabin Peace, we still lack about $2000 to get enough 2x4s to put the walls up if you'd like to donate you can go so online at www.globaloutreach.org thank you for your support and prayers for otr family as we walk out Gods call to build Taller del Maestro Globsl Outreach camp and bible training center!

Youth árbol de Vida!

Are you there GOD?

Good Morning from Costa Rica!
This has been a challenge I have been hearing from my own mind and from those around me, when will GOD answer, where is HE, is there any sign that GOD is still working?

In Job we read how he was faithful and worked to keep his family holy, even when they strayed willingly! Job prayed for his children and kept true to GOD! We read how the enemy went before GOD to accuse Job and to tell GOD it was because HE had protected Job, that's why he was faithful. So GOD gave the enemy power to destroy everything Job had, but his wife and his life.

In the middle of all Jobs trouble his wife pushes the man while he's down, Job 2:9-10 is a conversation they had; Then his wife said to him, "do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse GOD and die!" But Job said to her, "You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from GOD and shall we not accept adversity?" In all this Job did not sin with his lips.
We see Job faithful even when it seemed like even GOD had forsaken him!

Another person who stood in there was JESUS, wow! When the whole world turned dark and all JESUS has was what HE knew GOD had said, there was no evidence that GOD was even in the universe. JESUS stayed on that cross, faithful to the end. This was for you and I! JESUS stayed up there on the cross and drew all of us to HIM. When the enemy used the religious people of JESUS day to say, "IF you are the Son of GOD come down from there!"

So when we feel like nothing is happening and GOD is lost, HE'S no longer in control, we can look at Jobs testimony, throughout staying firm to the end, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

Now both these men who we have looked at briefly today, Job and our LORD JESUS we know that the enemy came before GOD the Father accusing them, and he also comes before GOD to accuse us. This is the reason we don't feel like praying, we feel like the world is crashing down, & no one cares! We can be sure even tho our enemy accuses us GOD is faithful and just and will always be there even when we don't feel HIM and when we don't see anything happening to prove GODS LOVE for us! We must stay strong to the end, keep believing the truth we have been taught from the HOLY SCRIPTURES knowing that GOD is always there and will never leave us nor forsake us. GOD may not answer immediately but we can be sure if we are faithful GOD is there and has every righteous act written down and will not forget even one of our faithful prayers, they will all be answered in GODS time!

JESUS BLESS YOU! Franklin Evelyn Mary & James

Cabin Peace

This missionary family came to teach the School Of Christ at our church Árbol de vida  and were able to stay at the camp center for the nights they were here in Costa Rica! What a blessing to be able to have a place for missionaries to come get a good nights sleep and food for the souls as they continue their journey to teach The Word of God to others!

We are in the process of raising funds to build the last cabin, Peace!  This cabin wil host 32 children, youth or adults as they come for discipleship in Gods Word! Would appreciate your prayers and support as we continue the work God has called us to do, build the camp center to host young and old alike to teach the Bible and offer a place for churches to do summer camps and seminars for their young people!
We have put in the foundation, and have the drawings back from the arquitect now!
The next step is turning in the drawings to the county clerk to have them authorized for building permits, get insurance for the workers, required by the government.
We hope as soon as we have the building permits, in about 3 weeks to start pouring the concrete floor and purchasing wood and metal roofing!
We are excited to be this close to finishing this phase of the camp & training center! Churches and groups can come to hold Bible seminars and camps as well as a place to host pastors and leaders for much needed R&R and a refreshing time of seeking The Lord!

If you'd like to make a donation you can do do online at www.globaloutreach.org click on the missionaries, follow the page down to our name and click the go are button! This is a secure website and 100% of every donation goes directly to our ministry here in Costa Rica!
You can also donate by sending a check made out to Global Outreach for Franklin & Evelyn Turner and mail it to this address: Global Outreach P. O. Box 1 Tupelo, MS 38802
Thank you for your prayers for us as we minister to the people of Costa Rica in the name of Jesus!

Maggie's visit

Maggie came and spent 4 weeks with us here at the camp center! She helped clean and decorate for the women's conference!

Maggie worked with the children as the medical team ministered in Saripiqui. There were 20 something children and Maggie set them down to paint little wooden cars, I walked over to check on them and helped pass out cars and get ready to paint, and Maggie ended up with around 100 children! They multiplied! :)

We had lunch together after church and then drove down to Puntarenas to see the marine park! It's a small park with several large tanks with fish some sea horses and a great big turtle!  This is the first time they had been to visit this park! We spent the last hour letting the children run on the sand and play, you can't get in the ocean in this area. Thank you Lord for our church! Thank you to each of you who prayed for us today! God is good! Praise Jesus!

Blessed day in Costa Rica!

Good Afternoon from our mission base here in Costa Rica! Pray the LORD blesses you greatly today and always!
This is a Warm day here in Puriscal at Taller del Maestro Global Outreach camp & training center! We have enjoyed having the rains back again after about 2 months of dry weather no rain and the dust reaches every crevice!

The birds are happy and singing the praises of our CREATOR GOD!
We have 4 nests around our house; one is a white set of birds that have a hole in the dry tree beside the porch. One set of wrens in the crack by the porch ceiling. 2 sets of Orapendolas in the palm tree at the front of the porch and one set of brown robins the national bird "Yuiguirro" in the carport!

Always love seeing how they work together feeding those hungry little mouths! Like our Heavenly Father feeding each of with the HOLY SPIRIT as our guide and JESUS HIS SON at his right hand to speak for us! Blessed!

We are working on landscaping the grass is growing fast with the rains! We cut the bushed on the fences and replanted the sticks hoping to have more flowers as summer approaches!
Thank you for your prayers for us we feel those prayers and GOD working in our hearts and lives as we serve daily getting this place ready for campers of all ages to come learn about JESUS and give their lives to GOD, ready to go out to serve JESUS!

We have so much to be thankful for, our health, eye sight, ears to hear, sense of smell to enjoy the scent of the flowers, may we never take these "small gifts" for granted, these are things no money can buy! GIVE THANKS, it will help you overcome obstacles and when you feel overwhelmed give GOD THE GLORY, hard as it may seem, it helps to overcome every type of depression and sadness! Without the LORD we would be forever lost and without hope but with GOD we have everything we need!

Have a blessed day, hug someone, smile it will bounce back from the person in front of you! Pay it forward, try paying for the family behind you in line at the restaurant you never know how much that may bless them! You will never miss that $20 and they will never forget your kindness, they will pass it on!
Lets be more like JESUS in every way; JESUS is alive! He is with us, keep in there!!

GOD has given you today what are you going to do with it!?

Picture of the soccer field progress!

Clearing The Camp soccer field!

Good News!

Good Afternoon!
As I opened the Bible on-line to study this morning I am using the New International Version; Mark 1:1The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God
How could I have read this passage numerous times and never saw how it says, the beginning of the GOOD NEWS ABOUT JESUS; WOW! this really spoke to me!
No matter how many times we read the Bible it is living and each time our spirit is in tune with the Holy Spirit HE reveals news to us, good news! We can sure use some good news in our culture and times we live in right now!

So here at the Camp Center we have been working on the soccer field this past 2 weeks. James started working with Franklin last week! As he grows we want to teach him as much as we can time is coming when he will be grown up and hopefully he can teach others about JESUS! James is happy to be making a little money, $2 per hour counts up quickly! :)
He did his school work this morning. He has a cooking class so today was lab work, means he got to actually put some of those skills to work! He made Banana bread, I must say it was the best  have ever eaten! About halfway through the morning his buddy Ellioth called him up to see if he'd be in Tabarcia today! So now he rode the bus to Tabarcia. So Dad let him have the afternoon off! We are glad for his friends as living out here alone with parents can get a little boring! We go to church 4 days per week so this is a great time for James! We have 25 youth who are coming regularly to church! What a blessing to have the opportunity to pour into their lives!
We started back in March of 2014 working with youth on Friday nights. We meet from 5-8pm, we take board games connect4 jenga, Uno, battleship etc. and play games with them. Of course there are some who always are playing soccer! They also love Frisbee!
Then around 6:15 we have a Bible lesson teaching them truths from GODS Word! Some of the older youth only come for the Bible lesson, not to play games! This is wonderful! There are youth ages 11-20 years old!  Please pray for these kids and for us as we work with them. Pray that GOD would give us patience, wisdom, and energy to teach and disciple them!
JESUS BLESS YOU! Franklin Evelyn Mary & James

New Year 2015!

Good Morning!
As morning dawns here in Puriscal Costa Rica sounds around us are louder and louder as the morning goes by! The locusts right now are very loud during the day!
They start about 7 am and are noisy until about 6 pm! Some days you feel like your head will split!
I'm sure GOD created those little creatures with a plan, sometimes I wonder why!
We had Franklins Mom here with us along with Elise. They were here 8 days! We enjoyed them going to church with us, spending time just visiting and also working together making tortillas and building benches for our church Arbol de Vida! Our pastor and a few people from church came out for the day last Tuesday and we worked all day together they built 11 church benches, some are 8ft long, some 6ft long and the longest ones are a little over 9ft long! These will be placed in our church in the lower level, for those who come to worship our LORD JESUS and hear the Word of GOD preached!
Out youth had a retreat 2 weeks ago and was a great blessing there were 60 youth who came and we had some 15 helpers and teachers. They had sessions lasting about 40 minutes each one, with breaks to have coffee and for lunch! They were taught from GODS word how to forgive, how to love and live in the world, but not let the world contaminate your life as a Christian!

Cabin JOY is awaiting paint and tile and a few other details it will be ready for campers! We are excited to be getting closer each day o opening day to host churches and individual groups from across Costa Rica to hold seminars and Bible trainings for every age group! GOD has called us to build this place of rest and relaxation for GODS people to be able to come and hear JESUS preached, taught how to live for JESUS in these last end times!

We have plans to build Cabin Peace this year and also level out the soccer field and sow grass to be ready for camps and fun times learning to live for JESUS!
We also have plans to put in a pool, the weather here in Costa Rica is in the 80-100 degrees every day so a pool will be a great way to cool off after a day of learning from GODS WORD!

If you'd like to be a part of the work by coming with a group please let us know our email is turnerefmj@gmail.com or you can also call Mrs. Carolyn Roye at Global Outreach at 662-842-4615 she is our groups coordinator and will be glad to answer any questions you may have on how to get involved with the work GOD is doing here!
Thank you for praying for us as we minister here in Costa Rica!

JESUS BLESS YOU! Franklin Evelyn Mary & James
